Terafab! This is a joint venture between SpaceX and Tesla will be the most advance chip manufacturing facility and the largest structure in the world once completed. This is where chips for the SpaceX “Star Mind” AI Satellites, the Tesla Optimus humanoid Robot and other future products will be mass manufactured.
Big news at the SpaceX and Tesla Terafab site today … foundation construction is already underway with a long rectangular graded area getting footing excavation rock.
This is possibly the first part of the main structure, but at this stage, very hard to tell, but nonetheless, this is showing the pace here is very fast!

In this video, we talk about the changes since my initial video just under a month ago and an update I put out about 2 weeks ago and the difference is striking.
Despite a county-wide burn ban that is in effect due to extremely hot and dry weather we have been having this summer, the crews have not slowed down much and in fact, have cleared about 50% more land as compared to just a few weeks ago.
This land clearing and overall grade work on the western side of the massive site is essentially “Phase” 1 of what will eventually be 10 phases for the construction this massive facility.
What is more shocking to me is the actual start of construction of a foundation on the northwestern part of the site including footing excavations and rebar cage installation.
This is generally in the area where the western most part of the main Terafab structure will begin and continue heading off for about 4 miles to the east.
Earthwork and tree removal is extending this clearing further to the north, and I think this is to achieve the full width of this part of the building.
I think of Terafab as four long buildings connected with a sweeping common roof that will give the overall structure its final appearance. Each of these four main structures is as wide as Giga Texas’ main factory and as long as three of the Giga Texas factories in length.
The scale is truly hard to imagine, and the drone shots don’t really help until you see people or large earthmoving equipment on the site and that is when the scale starts to come into focus.
There was more truck activity on the main construction road along with additional temporary operations and staging areas on the newly cleared parts of the site.
There is a Starlink ground station here as well, which I reported on 2 weeks ago … I cannot say if it is active yet or not, but there are 6 white globes in a fenced off section and there may be power or at least some kind of portable power connected to them, so it is possible they are working to some degree.
As part of the overall video, I do tour around the far western part of the site and near Gibbons Creek Reservoir to help give some additional perspective to where the construction that is currently underway is located in reference to this large body of water that was formed with an earthen dam.
