From Andrew Till / Mr. EV
.
EcoFlow have just launched the STREAM 5000 — the second generation STREAM home battery. I was at the UK launch in London, and in this video I go through the specs, the price and how it compares to the STREAM Ultra X and its rivals.

📋 In this video
– First look at the EcoFlow STREAM 5000, the second generation STREAM home solar battery
– What we learned at the EcoFlow launch event at Battersea Power Station
– Plug-in solar becomes legal in Great Britain on 27 August — and why plug-in batteries still aren’t
– Why the STREAM 5000 needs a fused spur and a Part P electrician
– Who this battery is actually for, including renters and homes without room for a big solar array
– Full specifications: 5kWh capacity, 5,000W of solar input, 0ms UPS and expansion to 90kWh
– How the price per watt hour compares to the STREAM Ultra X, Zendure SolarFlow 2400 Pro, Jackery SolarVault 3 Pro, Anker SOLIX Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro and DJI Power 2000
– Price per watt hour — is the STREAM 5000 actually good value?
