From Alex on Autos.
The Tucson is starting it’s 5th generation of in just about every other way than subtle; bold new look, new powertrain, and a big time interior/infotainment refresh. All Tucson models are now turbocharged with the hybrid offering 233hp and the non hybrid churning out 184hp. Those are pretty strong numbers and they’re needed to match the string l strong exterior design. The Tucson has gotten larger (up to 185 inches) and seems future ready if not future inspired.
Inside you’ll find a large 17” (optional) infotainment screen running Hyundai’s Pleos Connect system and an available Gleo AI assistant. If you’re looking for the driver display you may need to squint, at least it seems like that’s what this display is doing. This is a departure from the traditional 2 screen layout without going so far as to rely completely on a singular, central display. So far it seems like a good fit but we’ll get to drive it soon and update you then.
