I’m in Lahaina, Maui at a NEVI-funded Tritium site (Kapalua Airport) — charging, poking around the hardware, and taking in the ridiculous ocean view. I show the grid connection (1,000 kVA transformer), the two Tritium PKM rectifiers (360 kW each, used as 300 kW, 950 V DC output), and why this island site charges cheaper during the day (44¢/kWh 9–5 because of local solar).

You’ll see me try to charge a Model 3 LFP — the car can accept ~168 kW but the dispenser stuck at ~74 kW and reports “charge rate limited by station.” I walk the site: heavy Sinbon 350A cables, NACS retrofits, CCS/CHAdeMO/NACS plugs, weird Kevlar cable wraps, paint protection film, multiple cameras (Verkada?), a Brocade-ish cellular modem, and no visible pricing or UHF plug-open function on the dispenser. I also call out ownership: SP Sustainability Partners / Aloha Charge / National Car Charging and mention these units were built mid‑2025 in Lebanon, TN.
