Privacy Policy

First off: Nothing nefarious is going on here.

This is a hobby site, and it’s not trying to track you, but there are a few things you need to be aware of, so I’ll put it in plain language. This site embeds content from YouTube, so it’s basically just like you are visiting YouTube with extra steps.

Who we are

Who is we? In this case it’s the “Royal We” being used, so there is no actual “we”. This site is being maintained by an individual in Dayton, Ohio. The website is called EVsoup, and the web address is: https://evsoup.com, or https://www.evsoup.com. W’s are optional.

What personal data does EVsoup collect and why is it collected

IP Address

Although not personally identifiable, visitor IP addresses are collected and hashed by a stat plugin to so I can figure out how many visitors this site is getting.

Comments

We don’t do comments here. If you feel like you need to comment, go to the actual YouTube video page.

Cookies

I think there are 3rd party cookies in play here, so deal with that as you will. If EVsoup is giving you any cookies, it’s probably from YouTube. This site is not trying to track you across the internet with “EVsoup” cookies.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website, in this case, YouTube. That site may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged into them. For more info, consult YouTube’s privacy policy.

Who EVsoup shares your data with

Unless required by law, EVsoup isn’t sharing your data with anyone, but again, if you’re on this site, YouTube will know you were here.

How long does EVsoup retain your data

We try not to.

What rights you have over your data

TBH, no idea. EVsoup doesn’t actually collect any data on you. It just tracks visitor info so I can know about how many people are using this site.

Where is your data sent

We’re not sending anything, but because all content is embedded, YouTube will know it was you watching that video.
