The Tesla Model Y was the best selling car in the entire world last year, irregardless of type (gas, electric, hybrid, etc.). The car has only been out since 2020 and since then, millions have been made and sold, and there’s a good reason for it!
Our first Tesla Model Y was one of the very first ever made. Although we loved it dearly, we had plans to get the 7 passenger version when it started shipping, which happened in May of 2021 for us. Since then, we have accumulated well over 100k miles combined and know first hand how good of a car the Model Y is.
In March of this year, we saw what I thought would be the best deals we would see, as since then, there haven’t been any record breaking deals on Model Y. That all finally changed some time in November when Tesla not only added financing incentives of 0%, but also lease incentives of $299, matching the new Model 3 lease price.
With this lease deal, the Model Y could be had for the least amount of all Tesla’s, and since there are no discounts on Model 3’s so far this year, an inventory Model Y could be grabbed for up to $1k. If you jump up to LR AWD, there were discounts just over $4k.
When you combine the inventory discount with the Military Program, Referral Program, and Referral Credits, the actual lease becomes almost too good to be true! Although the referral program is capped, you can get up to $10k in Tesla "cash" to put towards a new car!
And thats exactly what we did! A week ago I shared a video on how to get a Tesla Model Y for Free. The day after that video, unfortunately Tesla made some changes to the structure of leases, basically closing this loophole on the lease program. None the less, I was still able to snag an amazing deal, well under the advertised $299/mo.
The best part is that while inventory was disappearing by the minute, I was able to get a showroom demo Model Y which was in my local store and I was able to see for myself its condition before purchase. This allowed me to actually save even more on the Model Y in the end!
At this moment, we are working on selling our 2021 Tesla Model Y, and after that we will sell the 2023 Model X. This Tesla Model Y will be predominantly used by my wife and for a literal FRACTION of the cost of any Tesla before it.
