From Alex on Autos.
Ford’s Explorer isn’t the biggest 3-row SUV in America, nor is it the roomiest, most efficient, quickest, best handling, etc, etc etc. But you know, that’s just fine with me. Why? Because making a "one trick pony" is pretty easy. What’s harder is creating a well-rounded SUV that meets the needs of a broad range of shoppers from empty nesters to young families, from people that want some extra zip in their family hauler to folks that tow on a regular basis. What’s impressive about the Explorer is how there’s almost a model for everyone… Except if you want a Hybrid, that one is dead.
