This is a stand-alone video to bring together multiple big construction projects in and around Giga Texas that are important for the growth and expansion of the factory. Must occur this work is now underway or is expected to begin sometime this year!
The first major construction project I cover is the Campus Central Support Facilities, which is where we currently see a large section of ground getting graded and prepared for construction between the DIE shop and the electrical switchyard. This will have three main facilities, two of which are 175,000 Sq feet and a third which is about 30,000 Sq feet. Two 5-million-gallon water tanks, along with a significant underground storm water management system are additional parts of this construction site.
In addition to this information, I add in discussions about a future test track that will be built on the northeast side of the Cathode Plant and near where another project, the construction of the new Harold. Green Road is planned.
Another future project is the new welcome and activity center on the west side of the highway near where it intersects with Tesla Road. This project has been in planning for some time, but the location of the project has changed a few times. I think this is the final location for this project, but I’ll continue to monitor and update as time goes on.
Finally, I review the new water sewage intercept system under construction on the west and south ends, including at least three sunk caissons and connecting pipes.
Hopefully this discussion and the documents I covered helps put into context what we are seeing at the site now and what to expect to see the rest of the year.
