Driving the Chevy Volt: My Bolt EV Battery Died

From News Coulomb.

So after six years, it finally happened. My Chevrolet Bolt EV’s battery died. These batteries will typically last about three years, so this battery exceeded its lifespan by nearly double. Last year, I also replaced the 12 V AGM on my Chevrolet Volt, and it was a similar age. It’s possible that GM’s way of integrating these 12 V batteries into their EV platforms does a better job of maintaining and tending to them than an ICE car’s alternator.

Either way, the trip went as expected, and I took some time to showcase the differences between the Volt and the Bolt EV when making a 150 to 200 mile trip, which I commonly do.
