To lower the tailgate (trunk) on a 2025 Land Rover, you’ll need to open the tailgate fully, then manually adjust it to the desired height, and hold it there while pressing and holding the tailgate close button for at least 5 seconds until you hear an audible confirmation. Use the power tailgate button (located on the tailgate itself, the driver’s side fascia, or with the smart key) to open the tailgate to its maximum height.
