From Mach-E VLOG.

At CES 2024, Sony Honda Mobility gave an update on its Afeela electric car. It won’t go on sale until 2026, but the car on display was feeling pretty complete.

We got a demo about the infotainment system and safety features. This is where you can see Sony’s heavy influence on the Afeela. It is very much a gaming and entertainment focused car. Beyond the ability to play video games in the car, you can also pick a theme for the car based on a movie or video game. Of course, those have to be games or movies that Sony has the rights to. Once selected, the screens, sounds, and ambient lighting will adjust to match.

Of course, Sony was also touting the safety and driver’s assistance features in the car. Considering that the car won’t be on the roads for two years, it is too early to tell how it will stack up against the competition.
