Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!
Overall a good day to fly with some early fog that lifted quickly slowing the start of my drone flight, but we do get to see some very interesting things around the site, including the continued work to build out the new Cybertunnel with a Cybertruck-inspired covering and outlet on the west side, multiple Cybercabs driving around Giga Texas, with the standard chase black Model 3 (with a similar camera and sensor setup for validation) and even a Cybertruck with a LIDAR rack mount validating the routes as well.
With many Cybercabs now in operation, Tesla really seems to be focusing on testing out the vehicle and the self-driving capabilities!

In the video introduction, I provide a more focused look at the construction of the west Cybertruck covering over the exit to the Boring Company tunnel, and also, a update on some of the activity over at Bastrop, Texas where the SpaceX Starling facility has rapidly grown to over twice the original size.
The Boring Company is doing additional testing and tunnel work on one of the two test tunnels at their facility in Bastrop, as well as a new addition to the north side of the main production facility, increasing further the amount of production space available. This is the production facility where the Prufrock Tunnel Boring machines (TBMs) are manufactured and tested. Nearby, we also see expansion of the Hyperloop Plaza and the new X facility and technically the Headquarters now that X has moved to Texas.
I also talk about the recent Worldwide Tesla Light Show I participated in, specifically with the San Antonio Tesla Owners Group. This event was organized by xlightshows.io and individual events were held in multiple locations around the world. Each of these individual light shows will be included in the overall worldwide master video, once that is released in the next few days!
A few other highlights to look for in the images and video later today:
Production of both the Cybertrucks and Model Y’s seems to be at a nice cadence on this early Monday morning, with a good balance between both as I did note many of each model exiting the factory in their respective locations and being driven over to the west End-of-Line (EOL) facility .. this is a great sign as the end of the year and quarter is fast approaching!
The work on the east side of casting continues, with the Bag House filtration plant getting work on the tall superstructure, while more equipment and pipes were being assembled on the ground and second floors. Castings were being stored in large numbers around the berm, the east side of the factory and in the north handling and sorting lot.
The electrical switchyard expansion continues with new steel and electrical components deliveries, vertical steel erection, and detail work on the new 3rd transformer. More grade work on the eventual second Megabuck site was apparent as well.
