Tesla has reportedly started production of a NEW structural battery pack equipped Model Y that uses LFP batteries from BYD adding yet another battery supplier. If Tesla doesn’t meet their production target of producing 3 TWh of 4680 batteries per year by the end of this decade, they will be fine thanks to their current battery supplier diversification strategy.
