Oh no not again….

From EV Texans.

Cathy took out the rear driver-side tire backing out of a parking spot at the Eisenhower State Park visitor center. Lower part of a retaining wall. Sidewall gone.
We called OnStar. They sent a tow. Forty-seven miles with the Scarlet Knight on the hook.
We were leaving the visitor center, reversing out of the stall, and the wall sat just low enough that it didn’t show until it was already in the tire. Didn’t even get back to the lake roads. Visitor-center parking lot. Then a long wait, a flatbed, and 47 miles of “we came to see the park and the park kept a tire.”
In this one we walk the visitor-center stall, the wall, the damage, the OnStar call, and the tow. What the cameras saw. What we didn’t. And what it takes to get a CrossClimate 2 back on the Knight.
If you charge, camp, or back out of tight park spots in an EV — the curb at the visitor center does not care what you drive.
