From Electric Classic Cars.
It’s finally time to take BugZappa, our Tesla powered race car, to the race track and see what it can do, so we’ve brought it to one of the best tracks in the UK – Oulton Park.
As this is our first time on track with the car the aim of the game here is not to set any track records but slowly start ironing out all the snags we find and fine tuning the car. We don’t have any of the aero on the car either, no rear wing or front splitter, so we won’t be pushing it to the limit yet.
We’ve got the suspension wizards from "Race Shocks UK" to support us today too, as there’s lots of adjustments we can make to the new suspension they’ve custom made for BugZappa. You can find more info on them here : https://raceshocks.uk/
The other thing we’re checking today is whether the coolant system for the Tesla motors and battery pack are working as expected and how long will the 40kWh battery pack last.
Lot’s to learn from this track day and lots to take away back to the workshop and improve.
