From Electric Classic Cars.

Hopefully you’ve all enjoyed watching BugZappa come to life in this build series. Now is your chance to become part of the team and part of the car and allow us to take you guys up the hill with us, or at least your name 😉 If you’d like to support us and have your name on the rear wing, below is the GoFundMe page to make that happen. We’re extremely grateful for all your support:

It’s time for an update on the BugZappa, our Pikes Peak race car.

After a number of track test days we’ve made lots of changes, some which may surprise you.

The biggest change is the fact that we’ve taken out the Tesla Models S Performance motors and replaced them with the less powerful, but more efficient and lighter, Tesla Model 3 Performance motors. There’s lots of reasons why we’ve done this that are explained in the episode.

In this episode we also run through ALL the aerodynamic changes we’ve made to the car after the amazing work that Catesby Projects have done in the aerodynamic assessment work. If you’d like to see more on their work, click on the link in the episode or on the link below to go to their website:

All our custom radiators, as mentioned in this episode, come from https://www.allisport.com/ Thanks to those guys for not only supplying such awesome products but also in the cooling requirements calculations.

Massive thanks to our sponsors of the car, Mouser Electronics, without who BugZappa would not exist.
