Site Review: Tesla Supercharger, Placerville

From News Coulomb.

I was finally able to complete my charging site review of a Tesla Supercharger. This location is in Placerville, California, just off of Highway 50. This Supercharger is located in a large strip mall, which hosts a number of retail stores.

The site features eight V3 Superchargers; however, all of the stalls are designed only for pull-in/back-in style charging, so EVs that are towing will have to park and detach before plugging in. Also, the only way for non-Tesla EVs with driver side front or passenger side rear charging ports to not block multiple dispensers is to use the rightmost charging stall.

Overall, this site is a nice addition to the public charging infrastructure along this travel corridor, but it is not filling a crucial gap and suffers from some minor site design issues (no pull-through parking and no canopy covering the chargers and stalls).
