Timo Gottschalk’s Dakar Journey with Yazeed Al-Rajhi #motorsport #bts #rally

From DW REV – Cars & Mobility.

German co-driver Timo Gottschalk has won the Dakar Rally twice. First in 2011, alongside Nasser Al-Attiyah, and more recently in 2025, with Saudi Arabian driver Yazeed Al-Rajhi. Of his 17 starts at the event, Gottschalk has only two wins to show for them. As he says though, winning the Dakar isn’t easy, and requires luck. And total commitment to the art of co-driving.
