Volvo EX30 review – Game-changing new EV rated | batchreviews (James Batchelor)

From batchreviews.

Electric cars from premium carmakers are expensive, right? Well, that could change with the Volvo EX30 because, on the surface at least, it’s a high quality EV with a decent electric range and has a low starting price of just under £34,000. The EX30 could be the EV Brits have been waiting for.

It’s the smallest car in Volvo’s range but it’s also the fastest. It comes in two battery flavours – 51kWh and 69kWh – and, depending on that battery, has an electric range of between 214 and 298 miles.

The interior is a bit of a showstopper in terms of design and features some very neat touches, and the exterior is pretty smart too. But the headline here is the price – the EX30 is some £5,000 cheaper than a Vauxhall Mokka Electric. Yes, really!

But it’s not all good news as I find out in this video.
