Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!
Happy Thanksgiving Week!
Today I decided to do a wide-ranging flight and cover much of the site to get reacquainted with how the site looks and what all is going on since I’ve been away for a week. I was not disappointed with the number of changes, some large, some small but most significant.

Here are some of the items we will see in the video from today’s flight of note:
The Boring Company crews were building more footings around the tunnel and in two large square excavations, most probably for a covering structure. The concrete funnel walls for the exit have been poured and forms removed over the past few days.
I noticed a lot more production line equipment deliveries have been made at the west staging lot, now overflowing the lot to the north end with silver, silver and blue, wooden crates and white whapped items near where the parts fot eh new stamping press are being prepared for installation. I did notice crews were working on another large piece of the stamping machine today.
At the south end of the End-of-Line facility, the supercharges continued to get the V4 cabinet upgrades. The power cabinets themselves have not been upgraded yet, so for now, this will give approximately the same charging speeds as before, but with cabinets which are able to do a lot more once the power cabinets are upgraded. It does appear all of the superchargers in this location will be upgraded by the look of the work today.
Big news at the electrical switchyard as the third large transformer was delivered int he past few days and placed on the concrete slab with catch basins. The separating blast walls has been completed as well. South of this area, two parallel trenches extend from the concrete vault to the new graded cleared section, where more fill dirt and compaction of the soil has been taking place over the past few days. The cleared area is now rectangular in shape, nearly the same size as the existing Megapack site, and additional clearing is being done just to the east of this section.
On the east side of the south extension to the factory, crews have added in most of the new concrete wall panels, covering over the four large tanks, extending the existing window line and added a window line funnel pattern that expands to match up with the full height window installation on the south end. A few more concrete panels were being staged just north of the multi-level parking garage and once these are installed, the glass work should commence. Once completed, the entire south extension will be fully enclosed.
The final observation I’ll mention here today is a big change on the southwest berm that runs along the central highway. This area was covered with tall trees but was removed over the past few days. This is in the general location where I’ve been told a new exit ramp from the highway will run, linking up to the existing partially constructed off ramp and extended highway pillars. The purpose of this is to add another way to access Giga Texas and make it easier for deliveries and vehicle traffic. This is worth monitoring to see if construction begins for this or if there is another purpose for removing all the trees.
