U.S. Startup Aptera has a long history in the EV marketplace, and in its original guise, was proposing electric vehicles long before Tesla was making any cars.
Its original iteration never made it to production thanks to a bunch of reasons we’ve already covered plenty. But now, with its original cofounders at the helm (something which wasn’t the case first time around), Aptera is readying its production intent vehicles for final testing.
And at Everything Electric in Vancouver BC, Canada earlier this month’s e caught up with Co-Founder and Co-CEO Steve Fambro to ask what’s been happening, discuss some surprise last-minute changes to the drivetrain, and ask how Aptera plans on staying the course in a market that’s become increasingly tough for EV companies to survive in.
