Ford’S newly unveiled its first mass-market, fully-electric, full-sized pickup truck, the F-150 Lightning. it seems to impress the media. in this video, we take a closer look.
The ford lightning which starts at 40k seems to come out on top with the features it offers at that price compared to the r1t, with starting price of over 67500 dollars. This model of the lightning seems to have been deliberately made by ford as a ploy to gain media attention but realistically, the features the base MSRP version offers is pretty weak. You would need to go up the line to get something that will be actually useful with a reasonable amount of range and power options.
In this video, we will try to do a fairer comparison between the F- 50 lightning and the Rivian r1t. This comparison will only consider models at the same or a similar price.

We are going to be comparing the Rivian r1t adventure edition at a price of $75,000 and the Lariat trim of the F – 150 lightning which cost an estimated $74,000. AT those, prices, we will see which vehicle offers the most for the money. This comparison will be pretty detailed so stay tuned.
The Lariat trim of the F 150 starts at about $59000 but a few upgrades takes it up to 74000 which is close to the base MSRP of the Rivian r1t Adventure edition at $75000. Optional upgrades added to make up the price for the lightning may include, power output for accessory and tools from 2.4KW on the base commercial trim to a 9.6kw on the lariat trim, leather seats, heated steering wheel, heated front seats, panoramic glass roof, auto park features, etc.
