Long Term Review (Intro) : Are These EV 12V Batteries From Ohmmu A Better Alternative To Lead Acid?

From Transport Evolved.

With cold weather now pretty entrenched in the Northern Hemisphere, we’re entering into a period of increased likelihood of the 12 Volt battery packs dying in your EV.

With that in mind, we’re about to long-term test two different 12V low-voltage battery alternatives for EVs from Ohmmu (https://www.ohmmu.com)

Offering both lithium ion phosphate (LifePo4) and Sodium Nickel Chloride (NaNiCl2) batteries, Ohmmu promises lighter weight, longer life and less risk of the premature 12V death that many EV battery packs get.

But are they any good? Are they better than lead acid? Or are they overpriced and not worth it? We’re about to find out with this long-term test.
