Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!
Busy day before Thanksgiving at Giga Texas! From the Boring Company work on the tunnel, to Switchyard expansion and a second BESS (Battery Electric Storage System) aka Megapack site, to the Bag House filtration plant nearing final assembly, a huge assortment of Giga Castings and of course, Cybercab testing underway, there is plenty to see today!

In the video introduction, I provide several short video clips and images of the Cybercab testing underway at the site, as well as a demonstration of the effectiveness of the Cybertruck 4-wheel steering system and the revised Tesla Referral program, plus great incentives for purchasing a new Tesla by the end of the year. All of this is to prepare for a monstrous 2025 with new products, more production capacity, Cybercab production start (end of year) and possibly the start of Optimus Robot production by the end of next year too! Very exciting!
As mentioned, I was able to capture some great images and video of the new Tesla Cybercab undergoing testing at Giga Texas this morning … the road course is the main perimeter road around the factory itself, Robotic Avenue, Electric Avenue just north of the multi-level parking garage and the parking garage itself. In addition, there is a chase black Model 3 equipped with a camera system mimicking the Cybercab & calibrating the data as they drive around. In addition, Model Y’s with LIDAR on the roof follows along, also collecting data.
Big news at the electrical switchyard where I can now confirm a second Battery Electric Storage System (BESS, aka Megapack) is being prepared for installation. This will be part of the enhanced electrical power system for the Cortex Supercomputer cluster in the south end of the factory, and the system responsible for all the training data for FSD AI4 and the Optimus Robot! The switchyard expansion grade work continues as crews do work inside the large underground concrete vault. Work to install the 3rd transformer continues along with more footings, cable tray assembly & steel part deliveries on north end!
The Boring Company crews continue with footing construction for the cover & facing structures at the W tunnel exit today, with several already poured with concrete. The road surface throughout the tunnel also has had concrete poured! Hopefully this will be complete by end of year!
