From Torque News.
Last night Fisker had a Vision Day in which it unveiled its electric Fisker Alaska pickup truck among other vehicles, but what’s the big news is that Fisker’s pickup truck puts huge pressure on Tesla Cybertruck’s price.
With a projected range of 230-340 miles of range, the Fisker Alaska electric pickup truck is pretty comparable to current players on the market. But while its feature set and capabilities are rivaled by current and future players in the electric pickup truck space, the Alaska’s price is what sets it apart. As noted by the CEO, the pickup is expected to start at just $45,400 before incentives. The executive also mentioned that he is looking to get the truck ready for production in late 2024. You can already reserve Fisker Alaska on its website.
Tesla, in the meanwhile, hasn’t announced the price of the Cybertruck, which is now imminent. A few years ago Tesla said Cybertruck will cost less than $40,000. However, can Tesla keep the price of its electric pickup truck that low? Industry followers say it’s unlikely and Tesla Cybertruck may be in the range of $60,000 to $70,000.
