Last week, Fermata Energy received permission from Nissan to allow its FE-20 V2X Hardware to operate with the Nissan LEAF, allowing transfer of up to 20 kilowatts of power back to the grid (or a building) from a LEAF’s battery pack.
It’s the latest in a growing marketplace of V2X capable hardware for Nissan LEAFs – and given that other V2X options that require a new car are pretty darned expensive, isn’t the Nissan LEAF the cheapest V2X option for those wanting backup power for their home?
