China-based electric truck startup Windrose Technology Inc. plans to build a manufacturing plant in Savannah, Georgia, for its line of semi-trucks, according to Reuters. Officials for Windrose said they have 6,400 existing orders for Class 8 EV trucks, with the majority of orders coming from U.S. companies.

Chinese supercar loaded with AI tech can do 0-60mph in less than 1.9 seconds. It’s called the JiYue Robo X, which comes from a Baidu-backed company. The Robo X also boasts a range of 400 miles on a full charge.

With a record-breaking 346 MW of residential storage built in Q3 2024 — a 63% increase over the previous quarter — the residential energy storage market has reached an all-time high. Tire changes: accelerated wear for electric cars. Electric cars are generally 23% heavier than equivalent gasoline cars due to their batteries. Currently, it is estimated that this additional weight is associated with 15% faster tire wear, reports Denis Rodrigue, professor at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, whose laboratory works on tire recycling and repurposing.
