The reason DC-DC adapters are fairly affordable for converting CCS to NACS and NACS / J3400 to CCS is… There isn’t much inside. Contrary to popular belief, the adapters are not "smart", the station and the car have no way of knowing which adapter you purchased, and the safety features (which they do have) are fairly basic, so you’ll probably want to get one from a reputable company.
