My wife Kathy (aka Out Of Spec Mom) has finally done it! She took delivery of her much anticipated Macan EV she has named “MaMacan” and is super excited about her new ride. During this trip, we find out that Plug and Charge now works! However, the wait times at Electrify America CCS stations simply ruined our day. While the new Porsche Macan is an absolute joy to drive and the build quality is superb, leaving the Tesla world of a rock solid charging infrastructure is a tough pill to swallow. This road trip was a wake up call that has quickly brought back the haunting reality of our country’s fragile CCS infrastructure. The good news is that Porsche can and should do something proactive about this situation NOW!

We strongly recommend Porsche focuses on the following 3 things to avoid Macan EV Inventory from becoming dealer lot paper weights:

1. Provide user selectable options for much stronger Off Pedal Regen. Just do what Tesla does
2. Provide user selectable One Pedal Driving. Just do what Tesla does
3. You need to bring the NACS adapter to the market ASAP; so we can charge just like Tesla’s do

If you don’t do these things, you will simply lose sales.
