It’s time for the second video in our series on re-energizing your old EV – specifically our 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV Premiere (which rolled over 114,000 miles the other day!)
In the first part of this series – which you can see here: – https://youtu.be/oMebuxjdWqc – we outlined the project and explained some of the things we’re planning for this daily-driver.
Today, it’s time to turn our attention to Ceramic coating, which can help preserve the paint quality and ensure that your older car’s paint stays in a good condition for longer.
Back in September last year, we paid Fresh Start Detail in Beaverton, Oregon to ceramic coat the Bolt EV and carry out a full detail to a level which the company calls a "pre-sale" detail. And while we didn’t mention it in the Video, Jason from Fresh Start Detail tells us that it’s fairly common for customers to have their cars detailed and then decide they don’t want to sell it after all.
And that was our goal: to make the Bolt EV fell and look as close to new as possible, making us want to keep it for even longer.
