Tesla is qualified for EV Tax Credits of up to $7,500 on the Model 3 Performance, Model Y RWD, Model Y LR, Model Y Performance and the base Model X LR AWD. Now that it’s 2024, many EV’s can be purchased with their associated tax credit applied at time of sale. Unfortunately we are learning that Tesla has not yet been approved for the portal, which is the system to be used to process PoS tax credits.

After speaking to Tesla reps at my local store, Tesla is working on this as we speak. Although no definitive timeline can be communicated, it is anticipated to be a matter of days rather than weeks or months.
