Tesla To Operate Giga Berlin Train 60 Times a Day, But Public Deadline Nears

From Torque News.

Tesla’s train at Giga Berlin will operate almost 60 times daily and take more than 1,500 Tesla employees directly to the electric car factory at the change of shift alone.

This week, Tesla confirmed it would use a shuttle connected to the public railway network running between Erkner Train Station and the Giga Berlin property to give both employees and citizens a public transportation option.

In the meantime, September 1 deadline is looming for Tesla’s expansion plan. Tesla’s expansion plans will be on public display until Friday, September 1, 2023, and the locals can submit their comments about Tesla Giga Berlin’s expansion until Monday, September 18, 2023.

While Tesla is waiting for the approval of Giga Berlin’s expansion plan, Tesla forged ahead with Giga Berlin’s growth by submitting plans for expansion to all necessary local offices in Germany in July 2023. The plans revealed that phase 2 of Giga Berlin would increase the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant’s production capacity to 1 million units per year. Tesla is also planning to double the capacity of its battery production facility in Germany from 50 GWh to 100 GWh annually.
