Walmart has ZERO open EV charging stations in California — and the first one is already under construction. Walmart opened three EV charging locations in the first half of August 2026, all in Texas. Sixteen more just appeared in the Walmart app, and one is a Neighborhood Market in Fresno, California: the first Walmart EV charger in the largest electric vehicle market in the country, after seventeen months of buildout everywhere else. The app already posts its price — $0.61 per kilowatt-hour on peak, $0.41 off-peak.

I track Walmart’s DC fast charging network through public permit filings, city and county records, and site visits. Every station carries both CCS and NACS connectors — 431 of each across 862 stalls — so Tesla drivers and everyone else use the same site.
