Hello and welcome to this deep-dive video on Aptera charging! There has been some information about the charging options available for the Aptera and an update some time ago announced that the launch edition was not going to have DC fast charging which was disappointing to many people. However, the auto developer did announce the addition of DC fast charging which was received with a lot of excitement. Not only was DC charging added but the whole Aptera charging situation was massively upgraded which might actually be better than what we originally anticipated. With that in mind, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to explore all the different ways you can charge an Aptera and take a closer look at the DC fast charging capabilities.

There are currently five planned methods to charge an Aptera. The first and most important is the integrated solar charging system, which I have discussed in detail in previous videos. This method can also be referred to as "trickle charging" or "slow charging." It offers two significant advantages over standard electric vehicles.
