Earlier this week, Chevrolet confirmed that deliveries of its Blazer EV were soon to begin, with the first examples going to customers being the 2024 Blazer EV AWD RS.

But at the same time, it quietly confirmed that the 1LT variant, a version that it had said would retell from $45,000 before incentives, was dead on arrival, making the 2LT the most affordable Blazer EV.

The problem? It’s far more expensive than the 1LT was meant to be, and it’s indicative of a wider problem in the EV world.
