Detailed walk around and general prod and poke of the new 2023 Lotus Eletre. This is a customer delievred version, not a press or pre production model so how is it?

With more holes than a Swiss cheese it’s something a bit different. A luxury and sporty car yet also SUV practicality!

The fit and finish is brilliant. Some beautiful little touches and some lovely design ideas. The software is acceptable although there is a hint at some Chinese underpinnings under the surface perhaps, once you question some of the menu options.
It drives really nicely. Like a Taycan but raised off the ground! Smooth yet agile. Nice and precise, effortless pull even from this non-“R” version.
Reasonable wind suppression, but if tyre noise but generally all round very refined and luxurious.

Plus I’ll reveal what the owner likes and dislikes compared to his previous car – a Tesla Model Y!
