Testing Tesla’s First NEVI Funded Site in Rockland, ME | Quick Charge # 14

From Plug and Play EV.

The first Tesla Supercharger that has received federal funding went live in Maine on April 3rd, 2024. Under NEVI (National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure) Formula Program requirements, fast charge stations receiving these funds must deliver a continuous 150 kW power level and support output voltages between 250 to 920 VDC.

Take a trip with us up to Rockland, ME to see how Tesla’s latest V4 dispensers fare, what kind of power cabinets have been installed, and why Tesla locations will provide a notably different experience for drivers of 800V architecture EVs like our Hyundai IONIQ 5, compared to almost every other NEVI-funded location.
