Kia says that the K5 has been growing in popularity within the segment and they’re not taking their foot off the throttle. This is a healthy refresh inside and out that builds on the success the K5 has had so far. On the outside it seems that the goal was to be a bit more striking with the addition of the forked lightening headlights and some very clear, sharp edges. It’s also a big plus when the base engine sees upgrades and on paper this change should only be to the benefit of K5 shoppers. On the inside drivers will be able to make the most of the optional 12.3 inch infotainment screen the gives a clean look and makes things easier to use. In the dwindling world of sedans it’s great to see effort still being applied and it’s needed to keep vehicles like the K5 from from turning into tomorrow’s CUV.
